Medical Emergency Assistance

The Liv Like A Warrior Foundation understands that when a child is facing a serious medical condition, families can experience unexpected financial hardships on top of an already overwhelming situation. Our Medical Emergency Assistance Program provides up to $500 in financial assistance to eligible families experiencing an immediate need related to their child’s medical care.

To be considered for assistance, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• The patient must be under 18 years of age at the time of application.
• The child must currently be receiving treatment or ongoing medical care for cancer, a serious illness, or another significant medical condition.
• The family must be experiencing a financial hardship or emergency directly related to the child’s medical condition, treatment, hospitalization, or ongoing care.
• Applicants must reside in Maryland, Washington, D.C., or Virginia.
• Families are asked to fill out Medical Emergency Form confirming the child’s current treatment or medical care and documentation related to the requested expense.
• Applications must be completed by the child’s parent or legal guardian.
• Assistance is limited to up to $500 per approved family and is subject to available Liv Like A Warrior Foundation funds.
• Submission of an application does not guarantee approval or funding. Each application will be reviewed individually based on eligibility, demonstrated need, available funding, and the mission of Liv Like A Warrior Foundation.

All information submitted through the application will be treated with care and used solely for the purpose of evaluating the request for assistance.
